Who we are

Things we grow, make, and sell

Things we grow, make, and sell

We run a small farm in southern CT. We grow and sell our veggies & herbs, and also teach classes on various homesteading-related topics. Kristy, owner and operator, is the Old Saybrook representative for the Lower CT River Valley Regional Agricultural Council. Currently, our goodies can be purchased at Foodworks in Old Saybrook, Durham Market in Durham, and Six-Paca Farm Store in Bozrah. You can also find our products at our buddy farm, Forty Feet, in East Haddam.

Here at Bittersweet Farm, we grow around 40 kinds of 'Certified Naturally Grown' herbs and a wide variety of vegetables. From those herbs, we make herbal, medicinal teas, beverage teas, Elderberry syrup, herb-infused vinegars, Fire Cider, Four Thieves vinegar, seasoning mixes, antioxidant herbal salts, tonics, and more! All of our products are natural, non-GMO, and good for you!

Our Motivation

Our goal is to empower people to take control of what they put in and on their bodies. We aim to provide our customers with natural, affordable products that are homemade and healthy. We hope to inspire even the newest gardener to grow their own food!
